Christmas is almost here!
Greetings form Latvia and Talsi Christian School! It is Christmas season and I praise God that because of Talsi Christian School we can teach children the true meaning of Christmas! Jesus gives us peace and joy in our lives and Jesus will welcome us in Heaven when the time comes, because of Him we can have meaningful Christmas! Praise Him!
20 Years Ago....In the fall Talsi Christian School celebrated its 20th anniversary. It was a time when we looked back and thanked God for the blessings we have received during these years! On the 1st of September of 1995 when we opened the school with 37 students, grades 1-4 no one could even imagine that God wanted this school to grow and serve in various ministries in Latvia and in the world. My first team was : 4 teachers and 3 staff members... only 3 of them were Christians... But we believed God had created everybody equal and that every child should get a chance to learn about the Gospel and receive a proper education.  Talsi Christian School started a new concept in a dark part of the world, where under communism for 50 years Christianity was prohibited and handicapped people were considered second class citizens. God has allowed us to continue spreading the Good News of Christ for over 20 years!

TCS Celebrations
We celebrated the 20th anniversary of TCS in Latvia with a church service and graduate reunion on the 3rd of October and we celebrated at Lamar Baptist Church, Arlington TX on the 7th of November. The board of 4:13 ministries put together a wonderful celebration, Karen Cooper did an outstanding job! More than 100 people came together to celebrate God's work at Talsi Christian School!

Our New Christian Generations
Because of you Talsi Christian School can produce fruit. Our graduates are the salt of the earth in their colleges and workplaces, they are missionaries in different continents. Mikus Petrus, the graduate of 2010 is serving in Mexico.
But let me tell you about Karlis Kleinhofs Prusis. He graduated TCS in 2013, became a student at the Baltic Pastorial Institute in Riga and now he is starting a new church at small country town called Priekuli.  What a joy to see the next generation carry on the Christian legacy in our country!

TCS is Growing and We Need Your Support
God keeps growing Talsi Christian School - this year we have 280 students; grades 1-12. We are out of room and our 1st grade for the next school year is full - we can accept 22 students, but we already have 26 applications. We are praying that God would allow us to expand the school. We have finished the blue prints and we are working on permissions from the legal institutions to start the building process. Meanwhile we continue to raise the funds: the total cost is 1 million USD and so far we have raised 650 000.00. We believe that God will provide the missing funds and we will break the ground in mid-March, when the ground is not frozen anymore...
