Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
It was my joy and privilege to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Cooper family this year. It is time when families come together in very special way and I was grateful that this year I was a part of this wonderful celebration when people give praise and thank God for who He is and for what He has done in people’s lives.

Though Latvia doesn’t have a tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving there are many things we are thankful to our Lord and Savior. On the 23rd of October Talsi Christian School celebrated its 15th anniversary. As many of you know we started Talsi Christian School on the 1st of September in 1995, to give the children of Talsi, handicapped included, the opportunity to get an education and learn about Jesus. We had 37 students grades 1-4 that year with 5 teachers. Only 3 teachers were Christians.
At the celebration we looked back at the “yesteryears” and we gave praises and thanks to the Lord for our ministry and everything He has allowed us to accomplish. We began with a service at Talsi Lutheran Church, the church where I prayed my first prayer in 1990 saying: “God, if You are real, if You exist save Elina’s life and I will serve You!” On the next day my 18th month old baby was scheduled to have a brain surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor. Doctors predicted that she was going to die during the surgery.

God answered my prayer and I started Talsi Christian School to fulfill my promise. These 15 years are a testimony that “All things work together for good for them that love God (Rom 8:28).”   God turned my personal tragedy into a blessing. Elina is 21 today and there have been hundreds of lives changed because of His work. We already have graduated 7 classes from the 12th grade! We have raised a generation of young Christians who will carry Christian heritage further on and change the country of Latvia for Him.

After the church service we continued the celebration in the gym of TCS. The teachers and staff of today and previous years were there. It is hard to believe that during these years we have had about 80 of them - shorter or longer period of time. For many of them TCS was the first place where they heard about the Lord but today their names are written in the Book of Life! We had many former students and many special guests from the US.

Today we are looking forward to what else God has in store for us. We are thankful that God continues to enlarge our borders with new ministries. This coming summer we will have 4 camps. This past summer, almost 100 students came to know the Lord through the camps. Several students who have gone through TCS or the camps have made the decision to enter the ministry on a full time basis. The Childrens’ Camp is June 19th - June 23rd. (contact: Eric Dennis: 580 564 0382 or Bo Sheridan: 903 - 806 - 3605); the Youth Camp is July 3rd - July 7 (contact Brent Cooper: 214-354-9501); the Basketball Camp is July 11-14 (contact Joel Hill: 918-869-0047). Last summer alone almost 100 new believers came out of these camps. We will have a new camp we have not done before and it will be VBS Camp for students of TCS grades 1-7 and kids from the neighborhood. This camp is June 27th to June 27 - July 1st (contact: Burnis White: 903-576-0889). If you feel called to join one of those teams coming and serving along with the youth of TCS, please, contact the persons listed above. Right now the leaders of the teams are looking for the team members and you are welcome!
Today is the day to rejoice and serve! God has entrusted us with the ministry that makes disciples and changes peoples’ lives. Thank you so much for your prayers and support to our Ministry! TCS still depend on God’s provision to meet our needs and we wouldn’t be able to survive without you! It takes about $ 300.00 per child per month to provide an education. Since the economy of Latvia collapsed about 2 years ago, we are dependent upon the European Monetary Fund. Many of our parents have no jobs or they work for very little salary and can afford to pay only $20.00 per month. This is why we
need your help.

To collect and oversee all donations, 4:13 Ministries was started as a 501(c)(3) foundation.  Our website is: 413foundation.org - it tells about the ministries we do; camps, the board and ways you can become involved in our ministry. All the board members donate their time and skills so there are no administrative costs- every penny goes to the ministry.
One of the ways you help us is through sponsoring a student of School. Many cannot afford the $280.00 monthly to sponsor a child on their own but many donate $25 - $30 a month. Many want to develop a more personal relationship with the child they sponsor.  We have put a general sponsorship form on a website and if you would like to sponsor a specific child, please, contact me: Ingunatks@gmail.com ; 011-371-294125 (Latvia, cell).
We are grateful for your gifts that help us to pay for monthly expenses and to keep us warm - the heating bill is $30 000.00 per 8 cold months…We have placed School’s need list on the webpage, too and if you feel that you can meet one of those, we would appreciate it so very much. There are churches who have put TCS on their monthly budget and we pray may they continue to help us next year, too.
The most beautiful season of year is coming - soon we will celebrate Christmas! We thank our God for Jesus Christ and we pray may there never come times in Latvia when people instead of saying “Merry Christmas” say  “Happy Holiday”…
Thank you again and again for being a part of our ministry! May God richly bless you!
Merry Christmas!
With Jesus’ love,
